About Fiona Mc Devitt

Fiona obtained her honours degree in Physiotherapy at Trinity College Dublin in 1995 and is also licensed to work in Canada and Australia. Having worked abroad as well as Ireland Fiona has gained great experience in many settings and with a wide variety of therapies and therapists. This encouraged her to delve further into integrative medicine.

In 2007 she qualified in Craniosacral Therapy (CST) which is a very gentle hands-on therapy, allowing a deeper level of healing, and enhancing the power of touch. This combination has allowed Fiona to see and treat each patient as an individual and give them the appropriate attention and treatment to facilitate their unique condition.

Having experienced the benefits of being part of an integrative medicine team in Canada Fiona was delighted to join The Lymph Clinic Team and is available here in Cork and Limerick.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a light-touch hands-on therapy that enhances the body’s natural capacity for healing. It works on balancing the membranes and fluids throughout the body optimising bodily function and wellbeing.

CST has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of physiological issues associated with pain and loss of biomechanical, systemic and emotional function/wellbeing. CST is particularly effective in treating anxiety and stress related conditions; softening particularly resistant areas of tension in the body; pain, and enhancing the balance of emotions, much of which is unconsciously held in our bodies.

CST is useful both as a primary treatment method and in combination with other traditional (physiotherapy) or integrative therapeutic techniques and allows for a deeper level of healing. This combination has allowed Fiona to see and treat each patient as an individual and give them the appropriate attention and treatment to facilitate their unique condition.
